I’m interested in having you shoot my wedding, what are the next steps?

Contact me! If I am available for your date, we will find a time to connect over the phone and discuss all the details! From there when you are ready to book, a signed contract and a $500 deposit will save your date. Then we plan and dream up all the details until your wedding day!

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

I am located in between my two favorite little towns, Highlands and Cashiers NC. I love this area so much that I decided to come back after college and grow my business! This was honestly the best place to grow up, with mountains and waterfalls to explore and the best community anyone could ever imagine.

I love shooting weddings in this area with all the gorgeous venues to choose from, but I also love to travel! I have a long bucket list of places I have always dreamed of visiting, so please reach out if you are planning a destination wedding, I would love to come along and help make your dreams come true!

What is the best light to photograph in?

Natural light is always the winner! I always do my best to use natural light in as many scenarios as possible, just because I love the look and I love how it keeps the photos real and true to the day. I also love helping my couples plan their day around when the light will be best for all the different moments.

That being said, I definitely will still be using flash for the reception. One thing that was amazing about studying commercial photography in college was learning how to use to use all types of light in any situation. It really prepared me for anything that could come my way on a wedding day.

How will we receive our photos?

You will receive all of your images in their finished state. We give you a mixture of color + black and white photos (because some lighting situations just look better in B&W). For weddings + elopements, all the high-resolution digital JPEG files will be uploaded to an online gallery for you to share, order prints and download. There is no limit to the number of photographs you will receive from your wedding day. We hand-pick all the best images, by getting rid of any duplicates, misfires, or images with unflattering expressions or poor lighting.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU SHOOT WITH?

I shoot with two Canon DSLR camera bodies on me at all times on a wedding day. I will also always have a backup, backup camera that stays in my bag in the case that anything happens to one of mine or my second shooters.

Prime lenses are my favorite thing to shoot with, so I will almost always have my 35mm, 50mm, 100mm on one of my cameras. I also use more versatile lenses like 70-200mm and 24-105mm for fast changing situations during the ceremony or reception where I need a bit more flexibility.

WHAT IS IT LIKE WORKING WITH YOU?

On wedding days, I have been described as a calm and collected energy. I like to keep things as easy and happy, as I think a wedding should be. Of course there may be some unplanned things that come up but regardless what happens I think its best to keep calm and enjoy the day as it comes.

If you are interested in having me shoot your wedding, I always encourage having an engagement shoot before! That way you can truly see how I work and feel more comfortable to be yourself on your wedding day. It’s my biggest goal to capture moments that are true to who you are as a couple and how you love.

How long until we receive our wedding photos?

I guarantee a finished gallery delivered within 8-12 weeks of your wedding date and 4-5 weeks for family, engagement and any other small shoots. It really just depends on what time of year your wedding happens, as for how long it will take. During my busy season (late June to November/December), it does take me a bit longer to finish a gallery.

With hand editing your photos, I take my time and really want to deliver the best representation of the day. I am not one to just slap a preset on and call it a day, I believe in having a fresh eye when it comes to editing, to ensure correct colors and lighting in the photos.

HOW MUCH SHOULD WE EXPECT TO INVEST?

Most of my wedding clients invest around $4,000 for full day wedding coverage.
